In Character Rules

1. We will not restrict what you write about. Be creative and go all out.
2. Do not reply to posts on the VB or Rally boards.
3. We will not tolerate OoC reactions to In Character Rants and Stories.
4. If you use another Character in your role plays, first gain consent from that Character's Handler. If you fail to do so, and the handler does not like what you have done, the rp will not count.
5. Please refrain from posting nonsensical Interactive Rps on FU World. Nonsensical posts will either be moved to OoC or deleted.

Out of Character Rules

1. The first and most important rule of the OoC is to take a joke.
2. We wish to keep things civil but we will not moderate you if your posts are meant in good fun.
3. If you wish to post on FU's OoC simply to cause trouble you will receive one warning via Private Message. If you continue you will be banned at the discretion of FU Staff. Please by all means, never make us enforce this rule.

Concept/Miscellaneous Information

1. Fight Union is an MMA/Sports Entertainment Hybrid. Which really means that there is more stand up hand to hand combat and the mat wrestling is more realistic. Don't worry though, most of the moves you've grown accustomed to will still be viable at FU. At the same time, prepare for things to step out of the realm of make believe and into the realm of reality.
2. Fight Union is also what you could call a partial writing workshop. Title matches and Ranked matches will receive constructive criticism (Feedback) to help the winners and losers know what worked and what didn't and what they can do to improve moving forward.
3. Fight Union wishes to provide a different level of transparency in its match voting than most Efeds consider “standard.” We do not wish to simply penalize you for losing without offering you the help you need to succeed. At any point if you feel you need some extra help we ask that you send a private message to one of the three members of the Triumvirate to request constructive criticism.
4. Fight Union also bases our Title ranks on roleplay limits. Just because you cannot post two roleplays every week does not mean you cannot be a successful member of our roster.

Championship Divisions

FU Championship
- The FU Championship sits at the top of the heap. If you have it, you're number one. Congratulations. This title can be won by pinfall, submission, KO, and TKO. This is FU's top achievement. This is a 2 RP Limit Title. Rant and Story. It is defended at least once a month.

Resistance Championship
- The Resistance Championship is FU’s second tier belt and it says you don't have an ounce of quit in you. It also means you find the breaking point in each and every one of your opponents. This title can only be won by submission or referee stoppage. This is a 2 RP Limit Title. Story Only. It is defended at least once a month.

Outlaw Championship
- The Outlaw Championship is FU’s Hardcore strap and if you have it, you must be one bad mother fucker. People fear you and hunt you, be quick on the draw. Weapons and special stipulations are added to this division to get the blood pumping and spilling onto the mat. This title can be won by pinfall, KO, TKO, submission, and occasionally death. This is a 1 RP limit title. Rant and Story. It is intended for those who still want to rp but have less time.

Duumvirate Championships
- Coming soon. ;-)

Shows

Violent Behavior
- Violent Behavior is the standard weekly show at FU. Deadline will be Saturdays at 2am EST with the show following midday Sundays. All matches aside from Roughneck and Special request matches have a 2 rp limit.

FU Rallies
- The Rally is FU’s prime time show. The Gladiator and Outlaw belts are always defended at FU's Rallies. Each one of these events also have their own theme. Standard match role play limit is 2 per competitor.

Peripherals

The Ring
- Fight Union utilizes a six sided three rope ring which we will call "the Hexagon." The ropes are replaced by chain link fencing for Outlaw Matches.

The Setting
- Fight Union will take place in Arenas and Stadiums all over the world. They draw the same crowds you would expect for a sporting event in a major city.

Show Staff

- Filthy Ramirez is the head referee for Fight Union. He's a former convict with the tats to match. He's been through hell and pretty much looks like someone who might just try to rape you. Don't worry though, he calls it right down the line.

- Brick Ramrock is color commentary. He's literally a twelve year old in a thirty year old man's body. He's big and beefy and will probably get into your van if you offer him candy.

- Nick Lukas is play by play and he's the coolest guy ever. He's hip and cool all at the same time and makes most people wonder why they even try. Well actually he's kind of a bum and would probably live on your couch if you let him get his foot into the door.

- Scooter Liebowitz is ring announcer and time keeper. He's got a voice that rivals Bruce Buffer and a glandular disorder that causes him to sweat profusely. I mean, the dude sweats like it's nobody's business.

Match Writing Guide

From time to time we will need a little extra help writing matches. We will post "Match Sign Up" posts occasionally to pick up extra writers. This guide will help you, the writer, to understand what matches for FU shows should look like, in content and coding alike.

At Fight Union we want to combine the theatrics and flashy moves of modern Professional Wrestling with the stand up and ground game of MMA. Now I know that some moves in professional wrestling are feasible in real fighting situations but that’s where we’ll just let fantasy bridge the gap. We never really wrote a powerbomb being “faked” anyway so it’ll flow right along with what we’ve written in the past.

Match Example

Tyler Lukas and Shane Clemmens share a stand off. The fans are chanting loudly as Filthy Ramirez checks in on them and commands them to mix it up. Clemmens charges Lukas and Lukas steps back, Clemmens vaults forward looking for a superman punch, Lukas strafes and scores a counter punch which rocks Clemmens. Clemmens staggers back as Lukas charges him! Lukas lands an overhand right and a left hook to the body! Clemmens folds up and Lukas rips him to the mat with a quick and dirty DDT!

Brick Ramrock: Oh my god these Hamdingers are delicious.

Nick Lukas: The smell of those hamdingers remind me of my own body odor.

Brick Ramrock: They’re supposed to smell like that, they’re Hamdingers.

Nick Lukas: I wasn't saying it was a bad thing... I once made a fake mustache out of a hamdinger.

Lukas tries to fall onto Clemmens but receives an up kick right to the jaw. Clemmens comes up and immediately powers down Lukas with a double leg takedown. Clemmens controls Lukas and transitions into full mount! Lukas tries to block but Clemmens imposes himself on Lukas and postures up! Clemmens breaks Lukas’ nose with a vicious hammer fist! Filthy notices that Lukas' in trouble as Clemmens rocks him with lefts and rights! Finally Filthy stops the fight!

Scooter Liebowitz: Your winner by TKO, Shane CLEMMENS!

Other Info

1. We want to refer to the big screen as the “FU Tron.”
2. We want tor refer to the ring as “the Hexagon” as it is six-sided.
3. Outlaw Matches take place with chain link fencing around the Hexagon instead of ropes.

Vote Assessment

At Fight Union we will vote on your role plays based on six simple categories. Don’t think that you have to be thinking about these categories while you write though, just write. If you “adhear to all the rules” you will not “win every match.” Ultimately these are really guides for the voters so they can base a logical decision based on a list of factors.

1. Organization – What we’re talking about with organization is how well the role play is organized. Some of you may refer to this as “flow.” In story we will look at how logical the sequences of events are and how clear your transitions are. In rants we will look at how clear and concise your rant’s progression is.

2. Creativity – What we’ll be looking for with creativity is simply how creative the details and/or descriptions are—how imaginative the writer is. We’ll also be looking at how enjoyable the experience is for the reader.

3. Believability – Don’t be fooled by this category. What we will be looking for here is how believable the story is. This does not mean you are hindered by the real world. It is how believable your events are in the story. Example: If a random Demon arrives and wants to fight you, that’s not very believable. But if your character were to actively conjure a demon and be forced into a fight—that is more believable.

4. Dialogue – This subject will cover the believability of the dialogue in the role play. This category refers to how clear your character’s voice is compared to the other characters in your rps. It also covers how believable conversations are.

5. Spelling and Punctuation – We will not vote heavily on this subject, this category covers how well written the RP is technically. Typically this will only make a major difference if a blatant disregard for spelling and punctuation occurs in a Role Play.

6. Wild Card / Style – The above categories cannot cover the over all presentation of the rp. With a diverse roster of writers such as yourselves we have to allow for the individual style of the roleplay to make a difference. This category covers how strong a presence the writer has in choices of format, voice, and creativity to create a strong overall role play experience.
Note: This is not in reference to Music/Layout/or any other Non Written formatting.

Voter Comment Sheet

At any given time the writers and staffers of FU can request Voter comments. Along with an over all vote assessment the writer will receive voter answers to three questions. This is intended to help the writer know what worked and what they need to work on as well as specific ideas for advancement.

Voter Restrictions

1. Voters will not be assigned to matches involving significant others.

2. If a vote is found to be negligent (bias, friendly, etc) it will be thrown out and a new voter will step in. The negligent voter will then be removed from the voter pool.
